We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WEST BROM

Borja Valero, who is still West Brom's club-record signing for £4.7million in 2008, could return to the Premier League with a move to Tottenham.

The 28-year-old, sold by the Baggies to Spanish club Villarreal in 2011 after flopping at the Hawthorns, is currently with Italian side Fiorentina.

ASTON VILLA

The agent of Christian Benteke insists the Aston Villa striker will not push for a move in the summer, but that could chance if the club are relegated.

Jean Makoun will end a troubled two years at Aston Villa and stay in France with a permanent move to loan club Rennes for an undisclosed fee this summer.

BIRMINGHAM

Birmingham manager Lee Clark is eager to take a look at a number of young players set to be cast aside by Premier League clubs at the end of the season.

The Blues boss ran the rule over Tottenham duo Jack Munns and William Ekong last week but is unlikely to pursue his interest in the soon-to-be-released duo.
