WOLVES

Former Wolves boss Mick McCarthy plans to raid his old club now that the transfer window is open, with defender Ronald Zubar first on the list. The 27-year-old is out of contract in the summer. However, striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has played down speculation that he will link up with his old manager at Portman Road.

Meanwhile, Leigh Griffiths is hopeful that a deal to extend his loan with Scottish Premier League side Hibs. The 22-year-old has found the net 14 times in the league this season.

And rumours from Everton suggest that David Moyes is close to securing a deal to bring young Wolves striker Liam McAlinden to Goodison Park.

ALBION

Turkish side Fenerbahce are said to be interested in West Brom defender Jonas Olsson, with the defender impressing under Steve Clarke this season.

ALBION/VILLA

Both West Brom and Aston Villa were among six Premier League clubs that turned down the chance to sign Michu in the summer. The Spanish striker moved to Swansea for £2.2m instead and is now joint-second top scorer in the league.

ASTON VILLA

Manchester City's 20-year-old striker John Guidetti is a possible loan target for Villa boss Paul Lambert while Dnipro's £2million-rated midfielder Derek Boateng is also said to be on the radar.

Meanwhile, reports in the Italian media suggest that Aston Villa are interested in 20-year-old Bologna defender Frederik Sørensen, who is co-owned by Juventus.

BLUES

Southampton are set to win the race for Birmingham's teenage goalkeeper Jack Butland, pipping Liverpool and Everton for the 19-year-old's signature.
