Ex-West Brom and Wolves player Roberts to join Reading
Thursday 26th January 2012, 10:59AM GMT.
Former West Bromwich Albion and Wolves striker Jason Roberts was today poised to leave Blackburn to join Championship side Reading.
The 34-year-old was reportedly heading for a medical with the Royals after deciding to leave Ewood Park.
Roberts has been frozen out of the Rovers team in recent weeks, reportedly because of a clause in his contract that meant another appearance would trigger an automatic contract extension.
Meanwhile, QPR this afternoon completed the signing of Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha.
The 25-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half year deal at Loftus Road.
