Highly-promising 18-year-old George Thorne could be joining ex-West Brom coach Michael Appleton by moving to Portsmouth on loan. Appleton has already been linked with Roman Bednar and Marc-Antoine Fortune.
WOLVES
Mick McCarthy is being linked with a move for Danny Collins, currently on loan at Ipswich from Stoke City. The Wolves boss has history with Collins having taken the Wales international from Chester to Sunderland for £140,000 October 2004.
