Rangers to wait on Fabrice Kasiama
Tuesday 22nd November 2011, 6:45AM GMT.
Stafford Rangers were today facing an anxious wait to see if Fabrice Kasiama can get international clearance to play in their home game against Matlock.
Kasiama, who was at Rangers last season, re-signed for Rangers on non-contract forms last week but couldn’t play in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against North Ferriby United, as his working Visa had expired.
But the club are waiting on a phone call for the 21-year-old to be allowed to play, as all the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League need is proof the DR Congo winger has applied for a new work permit.
Definitely missing tonight is Ryan Dicker, who has suffered a setback in his recovery from a broken right hand, which hadn’t healed when the light cast was taken off last week.
Winger Jon Sheldon continues to be on the sidelines with a long-standing knee injury, but goalkeeper Adam Alcock could return to full training next week after a dislocated finger.
Captain Paul Donnelly is also ready to return after a month out with a hamstring injury.
