Stourbridge boss up for the FA Cup
Friday 11th November 2011, 7:00AM GMT.
Stourbridge manager Gary Hackett today issued a FA Cup rallying call and declared his Stourbridge heroes are ready for battle.
The Glassboys go to Plymouth in the first- round tomorrow aiming to pull off the biggest result in their history.
The Pilgrims, bottom of League Two, are still three tiers above Southern League Premier Division Stourbridge but Hackett insisted the Glassboys, who are having poppies stitched on their shirts, have no fear.
He said: “I genuinely think they are ready for the game. Most of them have been through it before but this time they are looking forward to going to a Football League ground and there’s no need to calm them down.
“They’re a level-headed bunch of players and as a management team we keep their feet on the floor and we don’t let anyone get carried away.”
