WOLVES
Richard Stearman continues to be linked with Ipswich but having played 31 Premier League games last season, any transfer deal is expected to be at least double the £1m which has so far been reported.
Winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing is likely to complete a permanent move, the official club site announced yesterday, to Peterborough United, for an undisclosed fee.
Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray is pondering a loan move for Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, who is currently training at the club.
ALBION
West Brom have signed Birmingham goalkeeper Ben Foster on loan for the season with Boaz Myhill going in the opposite direction. No fresh rumours for today.
BLUES
Chris Hughton is on the verge of making Jonathan Spector Birmingham’s latest Bosman signing. The United States defender, 25, left West Ham in the summer and would boost a defence set to lose Liam Ridgewell to West Brom.
VILLA
After the completion of the Charles N’Zogbia deal, there are no fresh links today.
WALSALL
