WOLVES
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is keen on Liverpool’s Spanish defender Daniel Ayala, 20, who was on loan at Derby last season. Of course he is also being linked with a loan move for Liverpool’s Jay Spearing as exclusively revealed in the Express & Star yesterday.
ALBION
Albion boss Roy Hodgson is reportedly facing competition from Villa to sign Inter Milan midfielder McDonald Maringa.
Albion are still interested in talking to Owen Hargreaves about a move to the Hawthorns but will now meet the ex-England midfielder, 30, next week.
Albion are in pole position to sign Ben Foster – they could get the England keeper for as little as £1million.
VILLA
Villa are set to table their third offer for Wigan Athletic man Charles N’Zogbia after the Latics rejected a £9 million bid earlier this week.
BLUES
Arsenal will make a £10m bid for Blues defender Scott Dann after being thwarted in their move for Bolton’s Gary Cahill.
WALSALL
Nothing to report from the Banks’s Stadium today.
