Harriers make three new signings

Kidderminster Harriers have kick-started their summer business by making a triple signing led by well-travelled striker Steve Guinan.

Birmingham-born Guinan has signed a one-year deal after leaving Blue Square Premier rivals Forest Green Rovers and will be joined by midfielders Scott Phelan and Jack Cresswell.

Guinan, 35, has played over 400 games, the majority in the Football League, over the course of his 18-year career and has scored over 100 goals. Harriers are his 16th club.

Phelan, 23, has also signed a season’s contract after joining from Evo-Stik Premier League champions Halifax.

The former Everton reserve team captain also counts Bradford as a former club and has represented England at youth level.

Cresswell, who joins on non-contract forms, caught the eye of Harriers boss Steve Burr at recent exit trials and will get his chance to earn a deal.

The 18-year-old was a youth team player at Walsall and has also spent time at Manchester United.

The trio join defender Luke Jones and striker Marc Williams, both Aggborough old-boys, as the five new signings in the squad.
