FA Cup third round draw
Sunday 28th November 2010, 6:30PM GMT.
Albion will get their chance to avenge last season’s FA Cup exit to Reading when the teams meet again in the third round.
All four of our Premier League clubs in the region will play second-tier opponents after the draw was made today.
The Baggies will go to the Majeski Stadium in a repeat of their fifth round clash of 2009/10, when Roberto Di Matteo’s men were dumped out of the competition after a replay.
Wolves also face a trip to Championship opposition after they were paired with Doncaster, whose manager Sean O’Driscoll is Wolverhampton-born and a lifelong fan of his hometown team.
Villa will travel to Sheffield United in a repeat of their third round ties of 2005 and 1996, the latter best remembered for Dwight Yorke’s chipped penalty settling a one-goal game at Bramall Lane.
Birmingham complete the West Midlands presence in the draw, after they were handed a tricky tie at Millwall.

I’m not bothered about revenge. We’re picking up injuries and with the League Cup to worry about an early departure wouldn’t be the end of the world.
That’s the practical POV. In the real world I’ll still be hoping to win every game
