16:36: GOAL! All Wolves hopes of grabbing an equaliser have faded way as Chelsea go two goals ahead, Salomon Kalou with the goal that appears to have won the game.

16:21: Bolton get the equaliser against Wigan at the DW Stadium, Johan Elmander on the score-sheet.

16:14: Wigan have snatched a vital goal in their home game against Bolton, Hugo Rodallega with the strike that breaks the deadlock.

16:12: GOAL! There’s no stopping Birmingham striker Nikola Zigic at the moment, his second goal in successive games has Blues 2-0 ahead against Hull.

16:02: Greg Halford has never scored a competitive goal for Wolves – but it has took him 47 minutes of Portsmouth’s game at Hull to open his account for Pompey.

16:01: The moment Wolves fans have been waiting for – on comes Stephen Hunt for his debut.

16:00: Second-half around the grounds across the country.

15:36: GOAL! Could it be the turning point for Birmingham? Liam Ridgewell comes up from defence to head Blues into the lead against Blackpool at St Andrew’s.

15:34: GOAL! The Banks’s Stadium is silenced and it’s despair for Walsall again – John Welsh puts bottom club Tranmere ahead against the Saddlers.

15:25: GOAL! Villa go behind at the Stadium of Light and it’s a calamity for defender Richard Dunne, who puts through his own net to hand Sunderland the lead.

15:23: GOAL! Wolves go behind at Stamford Bridge and it could be a long way back from Florent Malouda’s opener for Chelsea.

15:09: GOAL! Bad news for Albion as they go behind to Fulham at the Hawthorns and it’s a Baggies old boy who does the damage, Zoltan Gera’s 30-yarder goes in off goalkeeper Scott Carson for an own goal.

15:00: Kick-off around the grounds across the country.

14:45: It’s all square in the early Premier League kick-off as Everton take a point at Tottenham, Leighton Baines’ brilliant free-kick for the visitors cancelled out by an equaliser from Spurs’ man of the moment Rafael van der Vaart.

14:30: Another big day for our teams in the region as all five are in action today and it doesn’t get much tougher for Wolves, who face the champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Albion face a trio of Baggies old boys today as former captain Jonathan Greening returns to the Hawthorns for the first time with Fulham, flanked by Zoltan Gera and Diomansy Kamara.

Villa make the long trip to the North-East today to face Sunderland, with manager Gerard Houiller hoping to welcome back a host of players at the Stadium of Light.

Birmingham welcome Blackpool to St Andrew’s with Blues starting to sweat in the lower reaches of the Premier League table – they need the points.

Walsall have been challenged to prove they have a turned a corner after two games unbeaten and, with the visit of bottom club Tranmere, the Saddlers will be expected to get something from today’s game.

Not playing that badly from what I’ve seen so far and had a few chances. But Chelsea as you would expect look dangerous.

Well, the result we expected but will Mick treat it as an excuse NOT to play certain players again? Still the three Fizzy Pop players of Ward, Edward and Jones – the Three Stooges – getting places they do not deserve.

Hunt on and Milijas was shooting from distance – something we were told about last season but only got to see him do once.

2-0 to Chelsea is a loss, but not as bad as it could be. First big test of four, roll on City, Arsenal and Man U.

No points but a good performance. We were far from humilated which must disappoint the usual cynics.
It would be good to see how well this team perform again on Tuesday.

2-0 down after 81 minutes he then brings on Fletcher and SEB at 86 & 87 minutes.

What a tactical genius we have at the helm. Time to get rid of Mick before we go to the nationwide.

Hope I read on here that Hutchings has had the sack he has now outstayed his welcome and its time to go the honourable thing would be to just leave.

Watched the match on ESPN couldn´t get a ticket the train was late arriving in Rio de Janeiro.

Need to say how proud I was to watch my team play a good game of football against a team at the top of the table who showed Wolves every respect.

Mick please speak to Jellie and convince him to stay and play him every game sorry but Wardy was not up to it on his own.

Mick please include Nenad in every game his attemps on goal were good to watch and sooner or later his goals will come.

Mick please include Hunty in every game, the whole tempo changed when he was on the pitch.

I don´t know if we missed Craddock, Henry, Mancienne and co but it would be a travesty of justice if Nenad was dropped, he might not be a runner but a play maker is his forte.

I would like to see Moyokolo get a start maybe in place of Edwards.

I know the result was not what we needed but we new it was going to be tough, looking at the way we played, if we can play like that every game to the end of the season, we should be out of the relegation zone.

Happy to be an expat Wolf, keep it up lads.

Said it in the week – Mick (& Terry) – do the decent thing – you have taken us as far as you can, you never had a hope today and probably don’t over the next few games either! Mr Morgan, time please, business is business.
    My regards
