Albion’s message to Moscow fans on Peter Odemwingie

Albion fans have designed a banner to answer the racist send-off for Peter Odemwingie at Lokomotiv Moscow.

When news broke the Nigerian forward had signed for the Baggies, photographs at the Muscovite club showed fans bearing a banner with the image of a banana and the sarcastic message ‘Thanks West Brom’.

The insult triggered a clamour from fans on message boards to organise a suitable response.

Die-hard Baggies across the globe weighed in with ideas how to hit back at the racism.

After collaborating, this is the banner Australian graphic designer Phil Turbutt came up with.

The giant banner reads ‘Thanks Lokomotiv’ with the image of Odemwingie scoring his debut goal.

Fans will display the banner tomorrow during Odemwingie’s second Hawthorns appearance against Tottenham.

Baggies fans have raised the money themselves to pay for the banner which has cost more than £750.

have the brains to carry it off, this gesture
just confirms to me that Westbromwich Albion

7…….and unfortunately my friend you ain’t one of ‘em !! You seem to sum up the nasty side of the Baggies fans. Listen to some of your peers like RBH, Sir Cyril Randle, Bomber and Happy (wherever you are my old mate) and any of the more sensible posters above. Friendly banter on both sides is welcome..banal insults for the sake of it isn’t and that goes for Wolves fans as well. I along with many other Wolves and Baggies fans agree there is no place in sport for racism.

I am going to use my time explaining the funamentals of decency to you.

In short you are an odious little twerp.

Wolves fans, without exception, have come on here and been magnamanous in their support of this particular nasty little episode, but you in your poisoned little mind cannot recipriocate.

If any Wolfie comes on here and bad mouth`s my team i will volley back, but this is not one of those occasions.

And furthermore to suggest i am not a proper Albion if i dont hate Wolves, Blues and Villa, is almost too prepostuerous for words.

If all that is going around in your tiny brain is hate, then i pity you.
