Albion fans have designed a banner to answer the racist send-off for Peter Odemwingie at Lokomotiv Moscow.

When news broke the Nigerian forward had signed for the Baggies, photographs at the Muscovite club showed fans bearing a banner with the image of a banana and the sarcastic message 'Thanks West Brom'.

The insult triggered a clamour from fans on message boards to organise a suitable response.

Die-hard Baggies across the globe weighed in with ideas how to hit back at the racism.

After collaborating, this is the banner Australian graphic designer Phil Turbutt came up with.

The giant banner reads 'Thanks Lokomotiv' with the image of Odemwingie scoring his debut goal.

Fans will display the banner tomorrow during Odemwingie's second Hawthorns appearance against Tottenham.

Baggies fans have raised the money themselves to pay for the banner which has cost more than £750.
