Walsall chief Chris Hutchings not ruling out new faces

Walsall chief Chris Hutchings today refused to rule out more new faces joining when the loan window reopens next week.

Hutchings can bring in new players on loan from Wednesday and says he will assess the extent of any injury problems before making a decision over whether to bolster his squad.

Richard Taundry, Steve Jones and Darren Byfield all currently have knocks.

“We can look at those situations,” said the manager.

“It depends on the extent of the injuries. It is something that we are looking at.”

l Will Grigg scored on his Northern Ireland Under-21 debut as they routed San Marino 4-0 last night.

Walsall’s Manchester City loanee Ryan McGivern also scored a penalty.

Use the transfer money you had for Deeney sensibly , and buy someone instead of these quick fix loaner’s that never give 100% and risk getting themselves injured . How many time’s and how many manager’s are allowed to bring in a player of a better quality and start to make an impression only for them to just return to their club’s or be bought by someone else because we can’t see further than the end of our nose’s

yes dont rule out a change in faces in the managers seat if results keep going this way. you supposed to have money to spend on squad strenghening and never even spoke to troy before him being sold, and to be honest the first game of the season against mk dons sumed it up for me the substitution you brught on with 5 minutes to go. 2-1 down you bring a defender on.

five reasons why chris aint man for job-

    1. contridicts himself constintly
    2. shows no belief in his tactics
    3. had money to spend but hasnt
    4. poor run of poor displays
    5. Aint ray graydon

JEFF BONSER : BRING BACK GRAYDON!!! this could see the fans back !!! no scrap that this will see a lot of fans back. chris aint hte man for the job. doesnt seem fair fans put the blame on the board when we lose or are scrappy when cash has bein made available and the manager hasnt performed

we will soon be a loaned team!!! id be happy if we had a wacka in goal , a roper in defense , a martin oconnor in midfield and a jorge leiao up front that was in our squad year in year out, but look how much the squad has changed in 6 months. for worse

I not sure Hutchings knows what he’s doing. The most important thing we need is a central midfield player with some creativity, preferably someone with a bit on experience who can be a leader on the field – how about a player manager to replace Hutchings? And then we need a 6 ft 6 centre-forward to get on the end of all the long balls that we play. Chris, it’s no good playing hoofball with small forwards! And, send Reuben Reid back to the Baggies and spend his wages on someone who wants to play for us. And by-the-way, Chris, Barnsley (Championship relegation-fodder) released Julian Gray (and John Macken) for a reason…I’ll let you work it out!
