Aiden McGeady's plea to Villa

Celtic winger Aiden McGeady today issued a 'come and get me' plea to Villa after revealing he plans to snub a move to Spartak Moscow.

The Russians have had a bid of £9.5m accepted for the Republic of Ireland international but he confirmed he is cool on the transfer.

McGeady is keen for a move south of the border and Villa are believed to be interested.

He said: "I know all about the interest from Russia. Spartak are a famous club, but I don't see myself signing for them."
