Albion eyeing Egyptian star Ahmed Al-Muhammadi
Wednesday 23rd June 2010, 11:35AM BST.
Albion are set to move for Egypt international wideman Ahmed Al-Muhammadi.
The Baggies have lodged their interest in 22-year-old Al-Muhammadi and his Egyptian club, ENPPI, are reportedly ready to let him leave on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
Al-Muhammadi is keen on a move to England and has already spent time on trial with Blackburn and Sunderland. The Black Cats are thought to be considering a move to sign him.
Reports in Egypt suggest the player could even travel to England for talks this week.
Al-Muhammadi, who can play at right-back or as a wide midfielder, has played 38 times for Egypt and was a regular in the World Cup 2010 qualifying campaign.

Wow sounds like a world class player :-) with loads of prem experience. What the hell is going on!

1)big wooden head. lodging an interest is one thing, taking the player another entirely. let’s look at the world class stephen hunt shall we? several clubs took a look at him, but only the custards would pay over the odds for this injury plagued (team player?!) you carry on thinking the only way a player is any good is by the size of the fee paid for him. he’s only £1m so he’s got to be rubbish. you and your type of fan are pathetic. your brainless logic would rule out the likes of Dorrans,Jara etc. players no doubt you’ll be screaming abuse at when they’re running rings around the golden galactico’s at the hawthorns and the ‘spew next season.

2. Wow what a rant. are you sure that you can take the pressure? The players have not returned for Pre Season yet and you are blowing your stack.
Take it easy man – we have not been relegated yet the table is alphabetical at the moment.

ye. the old ORANGE and black hav spent over £10m on players that were relegated last season with hull and burnley. nuff said.

I see we’re over loaded with dingles again, welcome aboard as there seems nothing is going on over on your site. It seems we are at least interested in international players (1&3) who are
better than the junk you’ve bought. The ten quid club have spent ten million on what, Ha Ha Haa.

22 years of age and played 32 times for the African cup of nations winners! I find it hard to beleive but I’m sure those stats come from somewhere. This could turn out to be a Gera, Jara, Dorrans, Mulumbu, Koren, Olsson, Tamas kind of find, you never know. Although we may have competition for him, which is the sign of a good player. The reason why I name all those players is to let the dingles see how much better our scouting system is to thiers. We find quality players from around the globe not just overpriced pap from Reading and Hull. Boing boing.

We do need a couple of class strikers though. Sign up Beattie, he could be the difference. And maybe looking into loaning one of Man City’s World Cup benchwarmers wouldn’t go amiss. They only need 5 max. Boing boing.

Big Wooden Tool. The dingles have applied their early bird theory to transfers and have totally blown it. Buying players that are either injured or were relegated last season (or both, can’t believe you fell for that one) is not my idea of genius.
Going down the Mad Mick way….. quickly.

it is obvious that the so called stars in the world cup are unable to control this new ball any better than your average players hence the shock results.I think we should use this ball in Premier League next season and WBA will stand some chance of success

Ive heard that they are looking at Peru midfielder Chumpo from León de Huánuco

I know the Baggies do not have a lot of money to spend, but I hope we can attract a few more players to the Hawthorns and that Jeremy Peace does not just blow his wad on Ahmed Al-Muhammadi

Sir Terry Bagpipes.
Try ‘Nincompoop’, that should very nicely between your shoulders.
Rooney was injured, Koren was just plain average, sorry, Championship standard
For those of you whodon’t realise there’s a world outside of Sandwell Town, Egypt are one of the best sides in Africa and really should have been in England’s Group instead of Algeria.

I don’t think this guy looks too bad, international with quite a few appearances for his age, but at the same time I do think there are better players out there but at least it shows we are looking for a right-mid, the postion I think we need the most at the moment.

Who is Chumpo – ive never heard of him.

20 – Baggieboynick, agree totally we want commited players not overpriced hawkers poncing around the place, we payed a lot for Luke Moore and got little in return whilst Dorrans, Tamas, and others who have had the ‘never heard of em’ comment thrown up upon first mention have proved to be invaluable.

Both Wolves and Albion fans seem to think £3 million quid is a lot of money for a premier league player. This is typical small club thinking as players were going for this sort of money in the 80′s when there was nowhere near the kind of money in the game as there is now

27. Bag O’ Nutters. £100K is a ‘lot of money’ if you buy the right player, like Dorrans for instance, Jara for a few £100K more. ANYBODY can spot a class player once they’ve done it already and are on the market for £80million like Ronaldo.
25. Be a pal and make the ‘W’s into capitals please. I keep reading your title as ‘werewolves’, humans with long, sharp teeth, slobbering spit and blood, howling into the night sky, meeting up with JtH’s Mummy. Nah, on second thoughts, don’t bother.

Cyril, I would have thought that with a name like that you would be one of the older wiser fans and less prone to childish comments, but obviously you are about 12 years old like the majority of posters here.
My comment is aimed at both Wolves and Albion supporters who think that their clubs are Premier league in substance as well as name. If indeed both clubs are big clubs we need to act like it and therefore £3 million is peanuts for a Premier league player. Of course it is better to pick up cheap players like Dorrans or Kightly who may turn out to be stars in the future, but most clubs with ambition have to spend big on some of their players.

It’s a slow day on the wolves page so I’ve had a quick look on here and it’s hilarious. U lot are so jealous u mention us in every other post!
6. And anyone else who doubts our scouts:
Kightly from grays athletic, jarvis from gillingham, ward from bohemians, keogh from Scunthorpe, henry from Stoke reserves, elokobi from Colchester, foley from Luton. Read it and weep, we paid pence for that lot and they not only stormed the fizzy pop but ably survived their first top flight season, augmented with just a few extras the like of which you are yet to buy. We have now added more strength to our squad, and will comfortably stay up.
I would love u to stay up too so we can get 6 points season after next too, but you still don’t seem to have grasped the importance of defence, especially at this level, so I reckon you’ll spend a year getting ripped apart by decent teams, playing sone lovely stuff along the way, and win lots of hearts blah blah boing.
And I didn’t even mention the stadium.

No.25 Another Dingle with a serious bout of nervous laughter. Wouldn’t it be embarrasing if that £10m spent on relegated players doesn’t pull off.
No.29 There’s nothing more childish and naive as to think that £3m is not a sizeable fee for a player because only a child doesn’t know the value of money. The Wolves recon they’re Man U, we know we are the Baggies and proud of it. If we’re gonna spend £3m I’d rather know we were buying class. We’re not made of money but we do tend to spend it well (most of the time).
Valero and Moore are examples of players who showed enough to warrent their price to a big club but were ultimately poor signings and cost our modestly sized club a lot of money. Dorrans is worth almost 100 times what we paid for him.
The ‘clubs with ambition’ who you talk about are now living on a knife’s edge and thier fans face the very real prospect of watching a decade of 2nd and 3rd teir football in exchange for 2 seasons in the prem. We’ve already had 4. Or maybe you mean Liverpool who owe more money to the banks (i.e. us the public) than there is money in a large African country. Time may tell on that one.
If you really want us to spend £3m on a crocked, ageing, relegated winger or £7m on an average, uninspireing and relegated striker, then there’s a bunch of mugs down the road who would be glad to have you. We’ve just signed a Spanish international, so stop being a cry baby and grow up.
Boing Boing.

No. 30 The only reason we mention you every other post is because you lot are always on here after the more respected Wulfies on the other site have told you to sod off.
So your scouts are finding players in Essex! Wow, no, your right, the Wolves scouting system is really broadening it’s horizons. You haven’t taken 6 points from us in a decade, dream on moron. Oh and by the way you did mention your imaginary stadium right at the end if you didn’t notice.
The Dingles still fail to realise that they will have to stay in the prem for at least one season to build one side of it. It’s only a drawing on a bit of paper like the Blues new super casino. It aint gonna happen. Ta Ta Boing Boing
