Get real, in todays transfer market how can you call £3 million a gamble?
Was it not Wolves who broke the British transfer record by paying £1.5 million for Andy Gray over 30 years ago?

39 i know why we signed him , he is a quality player , yes he’s injured its a gamble , but wouldn’t it be nice to see hunt and kightly battling for a place on that right flank with a fully fit matt jarvis on the left ? just imagine . We spent 2.5 million on milijas who has been a big disapointment in my book , he looks lightweight and unfit every game i see him . get behind the boys , wolves ay we !

see i,m not as mad as i thought i was, in january i posted on this site and said hull would get relagated and we would get hunt for far less than 5 mil. we offered at the time, everything is looking rosy, now all we need is a ball winning midfield play maker in the paul ince mold and bobs your uncle and we can push onwards and upwards… we are wolves.

Moxey said we would not buy quantity but we would buy 4 or 5 quality players.
So far we have signed 2 quality players for a total of £10m so I am really looking forward to the other 2 or 3 ”quality” players arriving before the start of the season.

Angry wolf are you a Sandwell town fan cuming on here as a wolf in sheeps clothing? What is wrong with you?? hunt is a class player&if you are really a wolves fan (but I have my doubts ) you will know EVERYTIME hunt has come to mol he has been excellent&the other team star man
I’m so happy we have signed him&even more happy he turned you lot down to come here.. We are moving in the right direction this is the best times we have had in the last 25 years,be proud if you really are wolves&get behind the boys instead of moaning the way all fickle wolves fans do..

ps robbie keane is going to villa after world cup is all he will sign on the dotted lines for them&im glad cos 70k a week is way over the odds for a player who is not a natural goalscorer,we already have a player like keane in keogh just robbie is 10x as good,but not the player we need at this moment in time..

At least the article gives us an insight into the nature of Hunts injury. A foot injury could mean anything from a bruised toe to a compound fracture of the ankle.

If the surgeons are happy with the operation then this should’nt be more than an inconvenience at the start of next season.

In which case this is an excellant signing.

As regards to all the comments on Robbie Keane, it is clear that Wolves are not interested in signing him and he is clearly not interested in signing for Wolves. End of story!

I agree it’s good to see some early signings, which will allow some much needed quality time together before the season starts, and allow the Manager to formulate his side for the first match.

I hope that Hennesy stays as I think he could still become a very good keeper with some quality coaching and a better defence in front of him.

I agree with some comments that it is a risk to sign Hunt after a major injury, only time will tell if it’s a good decision.

Let’s hope the 3 M’s have made the right decision.

last season we had southbank barmy army,wolvesmod ,bobwolf,all proffessing to know better than the three m’s and now angry wolf. as for robbie keane when he left for coventry he had the hunger and despite the better quality players around him at inter,spurs,liverpool,he won exactly what? nothing. he may be better than fletcher but fletcher has more determination and ambition.

believe me wwfc will surprise a lot of people this coming season and as for the baggies they just cant attract the players needed to survive. utw

Does anyone know how Kightly is getting on? I heard he is working hard to be ready for pre-season. does that mean he may be fit for the start of the campaign in July/August?

I’m hoping it does as if we are to play 4-4-2 we need to practice it and because Hunt is injured we would only have 1 fit winger in Jarvis.

I know we have a few decent kids that could play in friendlies, but that would mean either Foley (Right Back), Edwards (Centre Mid) or Guedioura (Centre Mid) will start on the right. Unless there is another winger on way.

Jez Moxey said that they are looking at one more player, this probably means two and hopefully a few loans from top clubs.

To make me completely happy I would like a couple of these;

Guirane N’Daw (gamble on forgeiner but looks ok.)

Michael Mannciene (Doesn’t look like Ancelloti want him, but would he fit in with a 4-4-2?)

Jamie O’Hara (He’s got to go somewhere and nobodies come in for him yet and can’t be on that much more than Hunt.)

Jack Wiltshire – Loan (Why does everybody assume he wants to go back to Bolton?)

Alexis Sanchez (I’m not one for looking at players in the world cup, but this lad has something about him! Probably snapped up by Real Madrid or someone though.)

Danny Welbeck (Good enough to score against us and was willing to drop down to play at Preston.)

Carlos Vela – Loan (Eventually this lad had got to be given a compelte season somewhere!)

I know some people will say this is rubbish but none of them are far from realistic!

personally, I think the Wolves board deserve some credit for learning from previous mistakes, getting in early and snapping up some real quality players. If we can get some early momentum I think we can look forward to a successful season away from the relegation dog fight.

As the maccies advert says….I’M LOVIN IT!
I’ll admit when we came up I was a bit unsure that we’d manage to stay up. But oh happy days we did. Now we’ve added what I believe to be proven quality within out budget I’m confident we can build on from last season and hopefully finish mid table. Just as long as we smash the lulu’s I’m more than happy. They’re gettin way to big for their Small Heath sandals!
O’hara and Mancienne and that might just do it unless we fancy a suprise right winger as well…Fear Kites wont feature much if he gets injured again

Whether he’s 3 or 4 Angry wolf needs some anger management therapy, or change his name to deluded wolf. Robbie Keane couldn’t give two hoots about Wolves and as he’s changed clubs so many times (he must have had a big bedroom wall as a kid to get all his favourites up) there is clearly something wrong with the man.
I think that Celtic suited him perfectly, playing in front of three men and a dog he was able to practise his hand springs to perfection. My only regret about Keane was when Mr McGoo left him and Bully out of that semi final team at Villa Park.
Now let’s move on !
Hunt’s a great signing and as for those who are accusing Wolves of signing relegation players, they should understand that not all players in a team that get relegated are poor. Even the Albion have Dorrans.

A great signing. Building a team to survive in the prem is all about gradually improving strength in every poition and I think MM is doing great this pre season.

Blasting all the cash on one over priced player nearing the end of their footballing best would be stupid and MM knows this.

Overall Im very pleased with the progress being made by MM and the tean and can’t wait for next season. Still think we need a central midfielder.

Angry Wolf, spends loads on 1 player like birmingham or spread the wealth to get a better class of signing than last season…. I leave you to ponder once you have finished double maths.

A post said something about Tony Daley. A completely different injury to Stephen Hunt so it has no relevance!

I think Wolves have been proactive this season’s summer transfer window. Not sure where the likes of Angry Wolf are chirping on about!
