Wolves look dashed on Aruna Dindane

Wolves’ chances of signing Aruna Dindane are looking increasingly unlikely after it was claimed interest from a club in Qatar has been firmed up with a £3million bid.

Sources believe Dindane has attracted a five million euros offer of combined fee and first year wages from the still unnamed Middle East club.

But the Ivory Coast international is not keen on signing for the club in the Emirates and would instead prefer to join a Premier League outfit playing in the Champions League, which appears highly unlikely.

That would appear to leave Wolves and Panathanaikos as the only likely bidders in the frame after Bolton dropped out of the running yesterday for the forward, who scored 10 goals in 24 appearances for Portsmouth last season.

But information indicates Dindane is looking for a higher-ranking Premier League club than Wolves.

Dindanewants his future determined by Monday before joining up with the Ivory Coast squad to begin World Cup preparations under former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson.

The player’s agent Willie McKay was in Bolton last weekend to discuss their £2.9million offer and the player underwent a medical, but the two parties could not agree a deal and interest from the Reebok Stadium appears to have cooled.

Panathanaikos, who Dindane rated as his first choice last week, are still waiting in the wings but the Greek club, who can dangle the carrot of Champions League football, have not yet submitted an offer.

Although Wolves confirmed Dindane as a target more than a week ago, chief executive Jez Moxey warned yesterday the club would not be messed around by potential signings who might be hawking themselves around to different bidders, which seems to be what is happening with Dindane.

So it appears increasingly likely the club will take their interest elsewhere.

Stoke striker Dave Kitson, Lyon forward Frederic Piquonne, who spent last season on loan at Portsmouth, and Bristol City’s Nicky Maynard have all been linked with moves to Molineux, while the club say there is no interest in Burnley striker Steven Fletcher and Glasgow Rangers forward Kris Boyd.

The more I hear of this transfer the more I want Wolves to steer well clear, to turn down the opportunity of Champions League Football with Panathanikos, PL football with us , Bolton or Blackburn for second rate football in Qatar only means one thing. Completely money orientated for him and the parasite of an agent Willie Mckay/Mckye??.

Drop interest now 3Ms while we have the chance, Please!!

WBA fans take note Mckay/ Mckye?? I believe is Dorrans agent, be warned he is bad news!!!

Wolves dont want to waste their time with this player. He wasn,t over impressive in the cup final. He is obviously after the biggest buck. Remember Henri Camera.

Why are the E&S still running stories on this. Wolves enquired, said he wasn’t worth the fee they wanted for him and lost interest. With Willie McKay’s involvement made this one dead in the water before it even began.

Any transfer involving Willie McKay is going to be a nightmare. Seems like he’s working overtime to get the most he can for himself. I’m not really fussed if we sign Dindane or not, as long as his heart is in it. But i hate the thought that any of our money will find it’s way into wee Willie’s pocket

The bloke is obviously a bit of a dreamer. I say leave him well alone.

We don’t want any of these money grabbing players (or agents) like we’ve had in the past (or avoided like Dann last year).

None of the names we have been linked with have inspired any confidence I’m afraid.

E&S should stop writing this stuff and getting everyone in a bloody tizzy.

Let’s get on with the business at hand.

Keep away from him 3M`s with MaKay it`s how much money he can earn from a deal not how Dindane`s career should shape. Please, not Kitson or Beattie. What the hell is wrong with Kris Boyd or Fletcher from Burnley, they do have the experience we need in fact I was told Boyd averages a goal a game I can`t comment because I don`t follow Scottish Football.Piquionne should also have the qualities we need,so come 3M`s show the fans you mean business this time round and stop messing around.

As a rule of thumb, if Willie McKay is your agent, we should steer well clear of you.

Not sure why we wouldn’t want Kitson though – he didn’t exactly do too badly playing alongside Doyle at Reading. Would you rather have him, or Iwelumo and Vokes?

Leave him alone, Maynard alone and Hunt alone. We do not want to pay over the odds for anyone and are they any better than what we have?
This transfer window will be difficult but a side like Wolves needs players to come who appreciate what this club is about a la Kevin Doyle. We cannot spoil this young and hungry work ethic with prima donas!
We might have to take a chance with at least one player from the Championship, for example, Ashley Williams. It has worked with Blues with the likes of Dann and Johnson!

Dindane – NO! Wouldn’t be loyal.
Hunt – NO! No quality, let Baggies have him.
Kitson – NO! Doyle brought him on, but it won’t happen twice.
Boyd – NO! Wouldn’t make it in the Premiership.
Eagles – YES! But is he available?
Fletcher – ??? Hmm, Worth a shot if less than 3mil.
Keane – YES! But he isn’t available, so forget it.
    Who else?
    Here’s a new one.
Seeing as our scouts are looking abroad, how about one of Nenad Milijas’s compatriots.

Dindane is a Premiership reject, end of story, and another Henri Camara wannabe. Look at the wages the likes of him, Utaka & Piquionne have been on at Portsmouth, who would have been relegated without the nine-point deduction anyway, and tell me they did enough to justify them. If they were as good as their agents make them out to be, they’d be going to Villa or Everton or Sunderland – not Qatar.

No Dindane, no Kitson (does he still not ‘give two s***s’ about the FA Cup, now that his career is in freefall?), no Beattie, and definitely no Hunt! I’d rather pay £5 for Jimmy Bullard.
