Chelsea star Michael Mancienne welcome back at Wolves

Loan star Michael Mancienne will be welcome back at Wolves next season.
The 22-year-old will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge this summer if he seeks a move to get first team football with competition fierce with the double winners.
Wolves are prepared to pay up to £4million for the England under-21 international and would be at the front of the queue, after Mancienne’s two successful loan spells at Molineux.
Manager Mick McCarthy has already indicated his willingness to have the player back next season after using him in 40 of his 102 career League appearances.
And midfielder David Jones believes the versatile performer would be an ideal acquisition.
He said: “It would definitely be great to see Michael back here next season. He was a great addition last year and the season just gone. He played more in midfield this time, but gained confidence and grew into the position the more he played it.
“We know what he offers defensively but he’s got the quality on the ball to play midfield. He’s got a lot of composure but players tend to have that if they’ve been schooled by the bigger clubs, so coming from Chelsea, you expect him to have confidence on the ball.
“That’s what they promote at the bigger clubs and he’s been at Chelsea for a long time. He wouldn’t have reached the standard he has at Chelsea – playing first team football – if he wasn’t good on the ball.
“So it was a natural progression for him to play in the holding role, and he offers a lot defensively as well.
“We missed Karl but ‘Manse’ did really well.”
Jones also believes Wayne Hennessey should think twice about considering his future.
The Wales No 1 has held talks with McCarthy after losing his place to Marcus Hahnemann, but Jones feels the shotstopper may be well advised to think twice as the grass is not always greener.
Jones said: “Wayne was unlucky in the fact Marcus did so well. But he is a top quality keeper – he’s great with his feet and he’s a great shotstopper too.
“I’m sure he’ll grow into an even better keeper here – he will be a really top class keeper.
“He’s still young too but he’s got excellent experience already, having played 30 times at international level.”
