No to Stephen Hunt?? Gotta disagree with you there Nathan, he stayed loyal to a team so that shouldnt go against him. He would be a great acquisition, we’re still not sure yet whether Kightly can make that grade, to risky to not get another PL quality player there. Should be cheaper to.
Keane only on Loan me thinks!!
Merlin the Magician!!!! Pompey here we come, get them wizard hats out everyone!!

Keano! Keano! Keano! Signing him would be a masterstroke – just think of all the shirt sales and merchandise, surely that would cover most of his wages.
This is the player most fans want, the club would really do well for a PR point of view if we get him.
A left back for me also – maybe Fox, Shorey or Belhadj.
A winger also, I’d still go for Hunt at the right price. I’d also like Bentley if they really wanted to splash the cash.
Also a centre back, no one stands out for me there but maybe we should try and get Wheater back.
I can only truly celebrate this achievement if we now push on and make our mark. We have to pay players better wages to tempt them into coming here and 4 ‘quality signings’ in the mould of Doyle, would be much better investment than another 7-9 average players i.e Halford, Maierhofer, etc.

God the rumour mill in ALL the morning papers today are linking us with Hunt and Keane. To be expected I know, apparently MM is going to watch Keane play for Celtic tonight ( Might be checking out Brown and Naylor to!!).
Great times for Wolves fans at last, who will come though?? please Wolves lets not disapoint!!

Dont go back…its never the same.
I think getting Keane in would be a mistake, his heart is not in it. This whole thing smells like Keegan returning to Newcastle, we all know how that ended.
Onwards and upwards, new blood is what we need.

1 – agree totally. Hunt would be a good signing if only to back up our current wingers. He would also be much cheaper than we were willing to pay in january. I for one havent took him staying at hull as a personal insult, but more of a statement of him as a player, wanting to carry on doing his job at hull.
Even if he had alteria motives in thinking hull were going to do better than Wolves, at least he stayed at the club he was contracted to, when most players would have threw a fit and put in a transfer request. Signs of loyalty to a club, which isnt very often for a premier league player these days.
After saying all this hes probably going to throw a fit at the end of the season and put in a transfer request.

2 – not sure Robbie Keane would be such a good idea.
The fact he chose Celtic in January (assuming he had numerous other offers) shows his lack of ambition. Yeah he’s scored a few but so has Kenny Miller and I wouldn’t want to see him back.
And I’m sure you can work out how many shirts we need to sell to cover his £70k a week wages. Not worth the bother and I don’t care about the ‘PR’.
Oh and he’s a Liverpool fan (or a boyhood fan of any club he signs for so let’s dispell the stupid myth that he has a special bond with Wolves or would take half his current wages just to play for us).
Let’s concentrate on good, solid, Premier League signings (Curtis Davies? Hunt? Shorey? Fatty Beattie?) but first enjoy the last games of the season.

wolfytor74 – 100% agree
Wordsley wolf- Unless he was leaving spurs for united, aresnal or chelsea, he was always going to be lowering his expectations. Villa, city and liverpool, are in exactly the same boat as spurs, so he wouldnt be improving his ambition signing for them either. The scottish league is very poor, but at least he had a chance of winning something which he didnt at any other club that would have came in for him.
The PR isnt just for us fans. If a potential target sees that weve signed Keane, they may well believe that were building a team capable of going places and we will be all the more likely to sign them. Compare that to them seeing were signing lower league players, and they may be put off.
Any footballer will tell you that they have an affection towards the first club they played for, (or was successfull for). Last time we were in the premier league i remember Keane stating just that, I doubt he would take half his wages to play for us though.

Posts 4 & 6, I totally agree. Keane didn’t show any interest before so why pay wages to a player who, in my opinion, is not worth the wages he would want.

Why wouldn’t we want to sign Steve Hunt, just because he didnt join us in January, well all he did was show ‘LOYALTY’ to his club. Thats the trouble with far to many players these days ,they ‘KISS THE BADGE’ one match then gone the next?. Do you remember Henri Camara? he couldn’t hit a barn door from 5yds when he played the first-half of the season, yet the second-half he couldn’t Stop scoring, he even got player-of-the-year, but it didnt stop him leaving us soon as the season ended saying WOLVES are NOT good enough for him. What great ‘LOYALTY’ he showed Wolves. Hunt did the right thing in MY opinion, its nice to see a bit of loyalty in the game, as its as ‘RARE AS ROCKING HORSE SHIT’. Bully showed it for 13yrs GREAT YEARS, Jody Craddock now 7yrs, most players come and go within 1-3yrs. So we are NOT a big enough club for Robbie Keane these days or he doesn’t want to have to fight every match of the season in the bottom half of the league?. You’ve been spoiled Robbie, well you WONT have to where your plying your trade now, as its nowt more than Division 1/2/Conference league standard of football.UTW

Hunt – What is it with you guys and Hunt?
Hunt stayed at Hull because hull improved his contract, to a contract “wages” that we could not match!
That is the only reason “loyal” hunt stayed at hull…….let him stay there and rot in his greed ridden championship play den…..
How many relegations has he had now?
Our motto was “young and hungry” – well lets go and get some young and hungry premier players, similar to Mancienne. They are out there.
up the wolves

Okay, Nathan, What’s the difference between the Steve Hunt we all wanted in Dec/Jan and the one you now want to “give a wide berth” to ?
Nothing, of course.
How dare he have the audacity to turn Wolves down and stay loyal to the club he signed a contract for.
Let’s hope Kevin Doyle is as loyal when other clubs come calling this summer.
In this time of fantasising about who we should sign, Can I have a go ?
Why don’t we annoy our neighbours and try to sign Hart, Carew and Dorrans.
The latter as a squad player, of course !

I notice fans have lots of different opinions on The 3M`s, the players, the way we play, who to sell and who to buy. For as long as I remember Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been enthusiastic, engaged, and well and truly stood behind their team. This commitment on the terraces are worth some points during a season. This year we have achived more than expectation due to the fact that we survived our first Premier League season in a maturing way. Ever since changing formation in feb. the team has grown, and to play in Premier League without numerical advantage in central midfield (3-2)seemed to me naive from the start last august. I was waiting for the change, and was pleased when grips were taken. I for one have enourmous expectations on behalf of our team, but never in terms of jumping too high on wages, transfer-fees and players not willing to bleed for the golden shirt. Mick started to put things right at the very first minute! Who are the fans to kick his ass for doing so? Where are we now? We do not want players on a free ride only minded on collecting the wages, we do not want fans underdigging this clubs fantastic history, and what has been achived lately. At last we can be up there with the big clubs, that is what will develop our club, not playing 4-4-2, scoring loads of goals in The Championship… results matters at the top level. Anybody claiming otherwise talks rubbish. I have lots of hope for THIS club, always have had, considering our proud history. I know younger fans have never experienced League Titles, FA-Cup Titles, League Cup Titles, and participating in Europe. I have. I want to repeat these experiences, copy the bravery, rawness and commitment that former truly Wolves heroes fundamented at Molineux. Let`do it Mick`way. He has not let one single Wolves-supporter down yet. He never will, thats his attitude. We have got a young team, a prospering team, a team which will develop and blossom nursed the right way. Combine this with further wiae signings for the future and it will be bright. Leave the desicions to the the people who have brought us back where we belong. (and God knows many clowns have appeared on the scene for the last 30 years!)Stand united behind our team, give time to young humble players. Nobody wants going down the Portsmouth way, back to the Consortium of the 80`s and the Bhatti Brs. Decent economy, long term thinking and the right choises from “down to earth leadership” is the key to further development. For those of you so-called fans not patient on the clubs behalf. -Sorry mates. You are caught in a trap, only seeing the mistakes, not the possibilities….

No.10 As the sad individual I am I have frequently visited Hulls Local Newspapers Site, and yes at the time he was going to be offered a new contract, but as far as I am aware that has happened yet. It certainly hasn’t been in there news anyway he is still on the 335k a week contract.
I am on there, most days since all this Hunt thing started – sad! yes I know, but they are an easy bunch of fans to wind up!!! he he!
So you may want to review your views on Hunt, come on lets get him in!!

35k a week that was meant to be, dont think he is quite worth 335k a week, as much as I like him!!
