Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Birmingham 0 Hull 0

Birmingham unwittingly gave Wolves a helping hand by keeping Hull deep in the relegation mire.
A goalless draw at St Andrew’s, in a game their visitors really needed to win, left Iain Dowie’s side three points from safety and six away from the men at Molineux.
Hull really went at their hosts but, for all their effort, there will little end product from either side, with Lee Bowyer going close twice for Blues and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink wasting the away side’s best chance.
Bowyer’s chances to break the deadlock came early on, first nodding over and then an attempt at the spectacular for the second, a 25-yard drive that Hull’s recalled goalkeeper Matt Duke had to deal with.
But the best chance of the game definitely fell to Vennegoor of Hesselink after the break, who stole in to get his header on target only to find goalkeeper Joe Hart equal to it, with a splendid one-handed save to parry the ball away.

Err, more like Blues did their best to give hopeless Hull a point in a vain attempt to send Wolves down.
Even Wolves scored against Hull!

Hull have 3 games at home out of 4 remaining. Game on! Wolves need a win! If we can just get 3 points on the board that would leave Hull needing 3 wins and a draw which i cant see them getting. We are closer but the fixtures Hull have are about the same as ours in my opinion. I think if they lose to Villa on Wednesday at home then it could well be curtains for them. Going into the last 3 games needing 7 points just to equal what we have now will be a massive ask.
