This time last week we were staring down the barrel, third from bottom with a worse record than at the same stage last year, writes Saddlers blogger Mark Jones.

I think they’re both right. Yes, we’re punching above our weight, yes this is our ‘usual’ level, yes Chris Hutchings is a nice bloke. But yes, we’ve lost about 2,000 fans, yes we’re stagnating, and yes the football is poor.
I think it’s about trajectory and ambition. If you finished 3rd last year and find yourself mid-table this, it’s very bad… if you were at the bottom, but are mid table, that’s progress. We’re just stagnating… and the nosises from the club seem to be happy with that and suggest we should be grateful. Well, you’re missing 2000 is the response to that!

I disagree with Darren. And think his new hair cut is silly.

I`ve done over 14 years without missing a game home or away until the end of Jan when I missed the Gills game. The football as become crud and tactically Hutch never as a plan B when things are not going to plan.I say get 6 more pts (the next 2 games hopefully)then get rid O`conner as well as he has no influence to make me believe he can do any better.

Its about time they updated the background ay it!

And while Millicent and Darren keep exchanging little in-jokes they probably can’t see that the rest of people with a brain will think that they are both 2,000 season tickets short of a crowd.
Come on E&S why do we have such good written bloggers on Walsall but such a poor representation on this video. The other lad seems nice enough, if massively ill0-informed, but the pointless hyperbole of Darren just grates.
If the point will stand up it will stnd up without the need for wild adjectives….y’know?

Darren,
If it takes until 10 games in before Hutchings is sacked, the season will be over. He needs to go NOW!!!

Martin, if you would like to tell me what hyperbole you are talking about, I will be able to elaborate more through this medium.
We only had 5 minutes of time to have a talk, and I had to get out the most information in that time period.
Thank you and I look forward to your response.
P.S
My hair is cool.

Darren Rhodes talks nonsense. It is not his club. This is now the 2000 or so that goes club. The other man ben seems nice and polite. Darren would look nicer if he had Ginger hair like all natural born leaders. Up the saddlers. If darren leaves his post at the express and star, there is only one person for the job. He talks a lot of sense. Mr fred Mumford is your man.

Why dont you get two people with some informed opinion, rather than two boring lads just keen to get in front of a camera.
