Next term will see the real Morrison

Albion comeback man James Morrison admits it will be next season before he nears near the form which made him such a big hit in the last Premier League campaign.
The midfielder is making tentative progress from the heel injury that floored him for much of this campaign.
After a three-game break Morrison was back in action at the weekend – but knows his real target is to hit the ground running when the 2010/11 campaign begins.
He said: “I hadn’t played for the last three matches, so I was just glad to be back on the pitch at Reading. In the second-half I came into it more when I started drifting about and getting involved, which I enjoyed.
“I don’t really feel 100 per cent yet. I still feel a long way off, but I just look forward to getting on the pitch. I think there was one time in the first-half when I made a little run and I was breathing heavily, wondering what was going on.
“But I think if I get a good pre-season under my belt hopefully the old me will come back. But that is what the squad is about.
“They say that the squad can be vital in winning things and if you’ve got a good squad you are generally somewhere near.”
The 23-year-old has spent long months watching Albion slog their way through the Championship marathon, during which another of his team-mates has had to come through tough times.
Captain and goalkeeper Scott Carson has been the target for criticism from some fans and the midfielder is delighted to see the former England international finally getting some credit for his performances.
Morrison said: “Scott sometimes comes in for a bit of stick but he showed his class on Saturday. He kept a nice point for us.
“Some of the stick he gets isn’t nice and we’re upset for him when that happens, but he made some crucial saves on Saturday and deserves all the credit he got.”
