We’ve won nothing yet warns boss

Albion boss Roberto Di Matteo warned his side “we’ve won nothing yet” despite seeing them inch another step closer to promotion.
The Hawthorns head coach was delighted with another one-goal win in the race for the top two against Coventry at the Hawthorns last night, but is refusing to get carried away.
He said: “It’s one more hurdle we are over. Nothing has been achieved, but we’re pleased with the three points. We’ve got six points from the last two home games and we knew the home games were going to be important.
“Last night was a bit of a scrappy affair but we managed to score a goal, put ourselves in front and then we battled.
“We defended that goal for dear life. We couldn’t quite keep the possession in the second half because our legs were a bit weary.
“Coventry had nothing to lose and they threw everything at us. Maybe we could have done a little bit better in the second half to keep the ball and when we broke could have broken better and tried to score that second goal.
“But credit to Coventry and it’s not a surprise to me, because I saw them against Leicester and they did exactly the same.
“I thought we were very good in the first half and got the goal. In the second-half we hung onto that lead dearly until the end.
“They made it very difficult in the second half, like they did against Leicester on Sunday. It’s always difficult to defend against long ball into the box because they can go anywhere.”
Di Matteo hailed the support of the noisy Hawthorns faithful, after they rallied behind the team following Saturday’s booing of Luke Moore by a minority of fans.
He said: “I think it gave everyone a lift. Our supporters were magnificent in support of the team. They saw we were hanging on and were really behind us and it helps the team a lot.”
The Baggies boss refused to comment on whether Robert Koren’s shot late in the first-half had crossed the goal-line, but insisted it was another example to support the introduction of technology.
Replays appeared to show the ball going in before goalkeeper Keiren Westwood clawed it back.
Di Matteo said: “I couldn’t see from where I was standing. He claimed it but I think it was difficult even for the linesman and referee.
“It happened in the game at Leicester on Saturday and that’s why a lot of people in football are asking for goal-line technology to be introduced.”
