Have your say on the comings and goings at your club: Your say on transfer deadline day

17:00: It's over! A tepid end to the winter transfer window really, with Andwele Slory the only real incoming after sealing his move to Albion for the rest of the season, and that is a story we broke on Thursday!

Wolves tried again to land Stephen Hunt but it was all in vain after Hull City turned down a final £5million bid for the Republic of Ireland international. It didn't get any better later in the day either, as a move for Crystal Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne was rejected by the player. The only business at Molineux ended up being Carl Ikeme extending his loan at QPR until the end of the season.

There were outgoings at the Hawthorns as well, as Albion bid goodbye to Shelton Martis after the defender sealed a move to Doncaster Rovers, while Felipe Teixiera is off to Barnsley on loan for a month while Leon Barnett is staying at Coventry until the end of the season.

Villa were another who didn't bring anybody in but let somebody go, as Nicky Shorey's time back with the claret and blues proved to be short with the left-back completing a loan move to Fulham.

Birmingham didn't end up doing anything either, as Marcus Bent going out on loan to QPR began and ended the day's transfer activity at St Andrew's.

And Walsall did, as expected, absolutely nothing!

16:58: DEAL! Albion allow defender Leon Barnett to stay on loan at Championship rivals Coventry until the end of the season.

16:57: DEAL! Albion winger Felipe Teixiera has been loaned out to Barnsley for a month.

16:50: DEAL! Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has extended his loan at Championship club Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season.

16:40: Chelsea have apparently joined the race to sign Portsmouth's wanted goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

16:30: Former Walsall full-back Danny Fox believes that financial issues forced Celtic manager and ex-Albion boss Tony Mowbray to sell him to the Premier League with Burnley.

16:25: Hull's forgotten Hungarian winger Peter Halmosi has returned to hometown club Szombathelyi Haladas on loan until the end of the season.

16:00: Another player not going to Wolves is Sunderland winger Daryl Murphy, who has rejoined his former boss Roy Keane at Ipswich on loan for the rest of the season.

16:05: Now that is how you unveil a player - Santos present new loan signing Robinho from Manchester City with the player stepping out of a helicopter alongside Pele the Vila Belmiro stadium in Sao Paolo.

16:00: Remember Michael Duberry? The one-time £5.5million defender has just been released by League One Wycombe Wanderers.

15:15: Sunderland have made an enquiry over a possible late move for Portsmouth's England international goalkeeper David James.

14:44: Looks like Albion had a lucky escape with this man - Daniel Cousin has left Hull City to join Greek side Larissa on loan until the end of the season.

14:30: DEAL? Barnsley are making a move to take Albion winger Felipe Teixiera on loan.

14:25: Leon Best won't be going to Albion - the Coventry striker has signed for league leaders Newcastle United on a three-and-half-year deal.

14:15: It's never dull at Fratton Park - Portsmouth are considering reporting Stoke and Asmir Begovic's agent to the FA for unfairly 'tapping up' their goalkeeper about a transfer.

14:00: DEAL! Albion have sold Shelton Martis to Championship rivals Doncaster Rovers for an undisclosed fee on a three-and-a-half year contract.

13:55: NO DEAL! A new name emerges on Wolves' radar but it could amount to nothing, Crystal Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne has rejected a possible move to Molineux.

13:30: Benni McCarthy's four-year spell at Blackburn Rovers has come to an end - the striker is now a West Ham player.

13:30: Money can't solve everything - Manchester City's bid to sign McDonald Mariga from Parma has fallen through because the player can't get a work permit.

13:00: DEAL! Fulham complete the signing of Villa left-back Nicky Shorey on loan for the rest of the season.

12:59: Middlesbrough have signed Tottenham full-back Kyle Naughton on loan until the end of the season.

12:28: What a time for your manager to leave - Peterborough United and Mark Cooper part company after just 79 days.

12:10: DEAL! Birmingham City have bid goodbye to striker Marcus Bent for the rest of the season, as the much-travelled forward heads to Queens Park Rangers.

11:55: Fulham's pursuit of Villa left-back Nicky Shorey appears to be picking up with the player now in talks with the Cottagers.

11:46: Could Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko be set to revive his move to Birmingham? It appears his planned move back to his homeland of Russia with Zenit St Petersburg is dead in the water.

11:30: NO DEAL! Word comes from Wolves that their final £5million bid for Hull winger Stephen Hunt has been rejected, and it looks like a loan move for Everton striker James Vaughan appears to be little more than speculation.

11:12: Albion look out of the race to sign Coventry striker Leon Best, the player has arrived at Newcastle United to discuss a move.

11:00: DEAL! We are finally up and running with our teams in the region as Albion, as expected, add Feyenoord's Holland winger Andwele Slory to their ranks on a five-month contract with a further year's option.

10:50: Another unknown quantity emerges from the pack for Birmingham - Blues are apparently interested in Hoffenheim's Brazilian midfielder Carlos Eduardo.

10:40: Wolves finally show their hand in the long-running pursuit of Hull winger Stephen Hunt, an improved £5million bid is on it's way to the KC Stadium.

10:30: Wild rumours are circulating that Manchester United striker Michael Owen could be headed to Villa on loan, with claret and blues midfielder Steve Sidwell also being mooted for Stoke.

10:18: A name emerges from left-field for Wolves, whispers are suggesting that Everton striker James Vaughan - who is available for loan - could be headed to Molineux.

10:02: One player could be on the move from Villa today, with reports starting to come in that Nicky Shorey could be headed for Premier League rivals Fulham on loan.

09:59: Birmingham are allegedly in talks with Toulouse winger Fode Mansare, who was originally set to have a trial with Wolves at the start of the month.

09:58: If Albion really want Coventry striker Leon Best they had better get a move on, he could be a Newcastle United player by the end of the day.

09:54: A former Albion star is on the move - Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara joins his former Baggies boss Tony Mowbray at Glasgow Celtic on loan for the rest f0r the season.

09:28: Doesn't look like Birmingham are going to get their man even though Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is up-for-grabs, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has hinted the player could be returning to his native Russia.

09:00: A few things are bubbling away at the moment but something concrete is Wigan officially unveiling Crystal Palace striker Victor Moses as their player shortly. That will please the Albion!

08:30: Into the hot-seat at transfer central.

It may as well be judgement day for Wolves, who will spend the next few hours wheeling and dealing for the final incomings into Molineux that boss Mick McCarthy hopes will fire the team to the holy grail - survival in the Premier League. Chief executive Jez Moxey has already stated there are multi million pound offers on the table for players, so surely something will happen today.

Albion are keeping their powder dry so far but don't let that fool you, as the Baggies were after Wigan new-boy Victor Moses, so are obviously after a striker. Did head coach Roberto Di Matteo have a back-up plan?

Villa boss Martin O'Neill has suggested he won't be bringing anybody in to the club in this transfer window, but we have all heard that one before haven't we?

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish has not made the most significant of dents in his war-chest provided by the club's new owners, and one suspects that money might be burning a hole in his pocket today.

By contrast, Walsall manager Chris Hutchings finds his cupboard bare after a series of big-gate game cancellations sucked the cash out of the club, but can the Saddlers chief sweet talk the powers that be enough to change their minds?
