Farrell’s plan to gun down Worcester

Kidderminster Harriers striker Aaron Farrell is looking to gun down Worcester City in the FA Trophy third round and enhance his claim to be a regular fixture.
The 23-year-old was brought in from the cold to start new manager Steve Burr’s first home game in charge on Tuesday night, playing the full 90 minutes alongside Damian Spencer.
Farrell could now be called upon again for Saturday’s Worcestershire derby at St George’s Lane, the first competitive game between the local rivals for 25 years, with Robbie Matthews facing a race to be fit after a bout of flu.
After injury problems of his own, the rookie forward plucked from Sutton Coldfield Town in the summer is looking to seize the chance with both hands.
He said: “I feel like I was in pre-season, I feel sharp, like I can do a job for the team rather than being half-injured and playing bit parts. I know I can play my proper game.
“It is always nice to get onto a football pitch no matter how long you get, but I’ve started now and that’s been great, so I am looking to push on and get some goals.
“Injuries have held me back, but I know I can score and once you have that skill you don’t lose it. I know where the net is.”
Fans will be segregated at Saturday’s derby match, with Harriers supporters allocated the dressing room end of the ground and block A of the main stand, while the Worcester faithful get the rest of the stadium — main stand blocks B, C and D, the canal end and Brookside.
Stewards from the visiting Aggborough club will also be used to help supervise the game’s safety. Admission prices remain the same and tickets are not required.
