Keep up the tempo urges Newton

Albion will kick off a key phase of their promotion campaign with orders never to repeat their “disgusting” display against Nottingham Forest.
Assistant boss Eddie Newton has revealed how a blunt message from the Hawthorns coaching staff helped the team bounce back from their 3-1 defeat to Forest.
The Baggies now head to Ipswich tomorrow for the first of eight Championship games in a month, with Newton warning the staff will not tolerate another such performance.
He said: “We don’t know what happened. We’ve gone over it many times since with the players, talked about it and watched footage of it. We’ve talked to the boys individually and as a whole to get to the bottom of it.
“We’ve told them we are disgusted with it and don’t ever want to be associated with a performance like that again. I made sure and the gaffer made sure that the players knew it. We had a lot of talks but the time for talking is over, now we have to bring everything to fruition.
“The boys have responded in the best fashion possible. Some of the football they played up at Newcastle was fantastic and we should have walked away with all three points.
“On Saturday we finally beat Newcastle. We’ve told the boys that they’ve set their standard and they can’t drop from it.
“We need to be professional now and don’t think you can step on the pitch and think it’s just going to happen for you.”
The Baggies will head to Ipswich on the back of their 4-2 FA Cup victory over the Magpies on Saturday.
They are hoping for a clean bill of health, despite Youssouf Mulumbu limping off at the final whistle and Jonas Olsson ending the game with a head wound.
Newton said: “Somebody stood on Youssouf’s ankle and he had an ice pack on it. Jonas had a couple of stitches in his head but he’ll be okay. He’s a Viking – a warrior. He’ll just get on with it.
“Ishmael Miller got caught by Fabricio Coloccini beneath the eye and there’s just a bit of swelling. But we’re quite happy that we’ve got through the game pretty much unscathed.”
