Bia tipped to be a hit at Molineux

Wolves’ new boy Geoffrey Mujangi Bia has been tipped to become a crowd pleaser by boss Mick McCarthy.
But the manager insists the deal doesn’t affect ongoing transfer pursuits.
McCarthy believes the 20-year-old Belgian winger has the qualities to wow the gold and black masses, after signing on loan from Charleroi for the rest of the season with a view to a £2million permanent deal.
Mujangi Bia is set to win clearance to play in tomorrow’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Crystal Palace – and McCarthy won’t disappoint.
He said: “We believe he’ll excite supporters like Michael Kightly and Matt Jarvis – they’re wingers that go on the outside of people with good pace, and he’s all of that.
“Geoffrey is equally happy at wide left or wide right. He’s quick, but he’s not just someone who runs and runs – he’s very good technically and he’s a good footballer.
“We all love players who can beat people – if ever there was an exhibition of that, we saw it in Charles N’Zogbia with Wigan last week.
“The crowd probably hated him for what he did, in what was a storming last 30 minutes and they probably want to see someone of that ilk here.
“We haven’t got anyone other than Jarvis as an out-and-out winger and it’s difficult for him playing every week because of the way he plays, it’s all high intensity work he puts in.
“So it’s nice to have another option who has similar attributes but different ideas and different ways of doing things.
“He will give teams something else to think about.”
Mujangi Bia has also been brought in to help solve Wolves’ goalscoring problems.
McCarthy said: “We’d like more goals from the wings – we’d like more goals wherever they come from.”
Bia’s arrival doesn’t affect other deals, with a third bid for Hull winger Stephen Hunt still a possibility, although the club accept the chances of any movement is fading.
The manager added: “We have signed Geoffrey but his signing has no bearing on anything else.”
Wolves reckon Mujangi Bia’s move will become permanent.
McCarthy added: “I don’t doubt the option will be taken up.”
