Catering staff at St Edmund's Catholic Academy on Compton Road West served up jerk chicken, rice and peas, dumplings, banana curry and traditional Jamaican ginger cake to hundreds of hungry students.

Head cook Pam Dhaliwal said: "Here at St Edmund's and within Wolverhampton we love to celebrate diversity and culture.

"What better way of celebrating Black History Month by giving them a taste of the Caribbean.

"It's been a fun day, I think the pupils have really enjoyed it and it's something we will continue to do each year."
