Contract win welcomed by chamber

Black Country Chamber of Commerce is delighted to have won the contract to continue to deliver UKTI support to Black Country businesses that want to trade and invest overseas.

The first months of the new contract are going extremely well with the Black Country Chamber International Trade team supporting local companies in their quest to export.

The winning bid in the West Midlands was from the West Midlands Chambers of Commerce LLP, which is a partnership of six Chambers of Commerce including the Black Country Chamber.

The contract has been awarded on a five year basis which allows for future development of new ways to support businesses wishing to export. New first time exporters initiatives includes a new Export Savvy programme and the established Passport to Export programme.

The Black Country Chamber International Trade team have welcomed two new members of staff to deliver the contract. Gerald La Touche, has joined as an International Trade Advisor and Stefan Szabo, has taken over the Mid-Sized Business Advisor role. Gerald and Stefan both have fantastic international experience working with a range of countries.

The International Trade team has extensive knowledge of export markets and processes.
