Walsall's Neil Etheridge posts North Korea Instagram selfie while on tour with Philippines

Walsall's Neil Etheridge posted an Instagram selfie with a difference: he was in the heart of the world's most secretive state, North Korea.

The goalkeepers 20,200 Instagram followers were treated to the snap taken outside the Kumsusan Memorial Palace in the heart of Pyongyang.

In the image portraits of leader Kim Jong-un and his father, Kim Il-sun can be seen.

Etheridge is currently on international duty for the Philippines ahead of their World Cup qualifier today.

Instagram is off limits to almost all North Koreans, and tourism is also strictly controlled with only around 1,500 westerners visiting each year.
