PICTURED: Woman cut free from car after it smashes through Willenhall garden wall

A woman was cut free from her car after it smashed through a Willenhall garden wall and rolled onto its side.

The crash happened in Ashmore Lake Road, shortly before 11.05pm last night.

Jamie Arrowsmith, a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman, said: "The car suffered significant damage in the crash which completely destroyed the wall.

"The woman driving the car, believed to be in her 40s, had to be helped from the vehicle by the fire service.

"She was treated for back and pelvic injuries, immobilised with the use of a pelvic binder and given pain relief before being taken to New Cross Hospital."
