Bob Jones: A career in pictures

The Express & Star looks back at the life of Bob Jones, West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and outspoken politician.

Bob Jones was elected West Midlands PCC in November 2012.

In December 2012 Mr Jones took the time to answer questions from Express & Star readers.

In October 2012, Mr Jones revealed that West Midlands Police would take on 550 new staff to combat rising crime.

Yet one year after his election, Mr Jones maintained that the role of PCC should never have been created, rating himself and his peers 3/10.

In April of this year Mr Jones was pushed for more of criminal's money seized by the police to make its way back into the community.

Just last week Mr Jones said his officers would have been justified to arrest Luis Suarez had his attack taken place on the streets of the West Midlands.
