Blondes are said to have more fun - but brunette may just prove the secret weapon of a Britain's Top Model finalist who today unveiled a striking new dark-coloured bob.

Tiffany Pisani, the 18-year-old daughter of a South Staffordshire businesswoman, has had her peroxide pixie crop transformed into a sleek and sexy bob ahead of Monday night's live final.

She will be vying to win a £1 million modelling contract, a covershoot for Company magazine and the chance to appear in the latest campaign for beauty giant Revlon.

The 18-year-old's family in Wombourne will be watching her compete for viewer votes against fellow finalists Joy McLaren, of Leeds, and Clapham girl Alisha White.

Tiffany, who is 5ft 9in, grew up in Malta after her mother Gill, now 51, met her father, Pieiie, 46, while on holiday there.

Her mother, who owns a beauty salon, grew up in Dickinson Road, Wombourne, and her grandparents, aunt and cousins still live in the village.

She said today: "I'm very happy to be in the top three and I am really excited for Monday night but I'm also nervous because it's live.

"I'm dying to find out who is going to win.

"All my family in Wombourne will be watching and I couldn't have asked for more support."

Tiffany said the worst moment of the show, presented by supermodel Elle MacPherson, was when she had her long blonde locks first cut off at the start. She is now adjusting again to life as a brunette.

"Now I'm really happy that I cut it," she admitted. "It was a big learning curve for me because I was very attached to it and it was a big part of my personality.

"I'm really hoping people will vote for me because this is my dream and it's been a long and tough process to get this far.

"I'm really excited."

Tiffany has always lived in Attard, Malta, with her parents and older sister Joanna, 21, but visits the Midlands several times a year and was baptised at St Benedict Biscop Church in Wombourne.

The final of the contest will be on Living TV at 9pm.
