Santa's reindeer loses one of its legs

For many years now Tipton Community Association have organised an annual Tipton Sleigh Run which operates all through December until Christmas Eve. Local groups and organisations are invited to take part giving their causes much needed funds.

The old sleigh being at the end of its working life and looking rather tired we felt it needed a well deserved rest. Another sleigh was soon found. However, during its trip from the north, disaster struck – one of the reindeers lost part of its leg! But not to worry, lots of love and tender care combined with surgical skills made sure the animal recovered and was ready for the long haul.

In December 2014 our Santa sleigh raised a record total of £7,044.82 which is an amazing amount and testament to the hard work and commitment of our small band of volunteers and helpers from other local organisations.

Donations from the Sleigh Appeal 2014 were made at the Presentation Gala Evening on Friday, January 30, and the Annual General Meeting of the Association was also held on the same day.
