Fat jokes are a typical source of amusement for comedians, film and television. But jokes about people struggling with their weight are as prejudiced as racism, a study claims.

Those who laugh at mean or offensive fat jokes are more likely to blame obese people for their condition, the study by Bowling Green State University in the US found.
