Good progress at failing academy in Wednesbury

A failing academy in Wednesbury is making good progress towards getting out of special measures, inspectors have ruled.

Ofsted said it had witnessed significant improvements at Mesty Croft Primary Academy since it was rated 'inadequate' almost a year ago.

Teaching, leadership and achievement were criticised but Ofsted said the academy had benefitted from a partnership with the Manor Primary School.
