A section of Pensnett High Street has been reduced to one lane for the roadworks, which are due to run for almost three weeks.

This morning motorists faced delays of up to 15 minutes as they waited to pass the one-lane section of the works at around 9.30am.

Dudley Council had warned of “considerable delays” ahead of the work, which is being carried out to resurface the badly damaged road and paint down new markings.

Between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily the road past the section of works will be reduced to one lane and temporary traffic signalling put in place.

All parking is also banned along the High Street from Church Street to the junction at the hospital’s main entrance.
