Former day centre sells for three times asking price

A former day centre in Rowley Regis has been sold at auction for £480,000 - nearly three times the asking price.

Regis Lodge in Rowley Regis went under the hammer with a guide price of £180,000.

The building is located on 50 George Avenue, situated on the corner of Birmingham Road and Henderson Way.

It features office accommodation and occupies around 3,500sq metres of land.

The new owners have not been revealed.

It was sold by auctioneers SDL Bigwood and was among 106 lots sold on the day that raised £15,014,500.

The auctioneers said the property could developed for its existing use or for residential purposes subject to planning.
