More than 300 new homes will be built on Wolverhampton's landmark Goodyear site as part of wider £150 million plans to create a mini-village.

The proposals for 133 four-bedroom houses, 154 three-bedroom houses and 27 flats, a total of 314 homes, were approved by planning bosses at the city council yesterday.

Developer St Modwen and city housebuilder Persimmon hope to start work towards the end of summer.
