Political editor Daniel Wainwright reported from the ICC in Birmingham where one of four candidates will be elected as Police and Crime Commissioner for the West Midlands. See how the day unfolded below.
We are looking at a very low turnout for the West Midlands PCC by-election. Just to recap what we've confirmed so far:
Birmingham is 10.26% Dudley is 11.4% Sandwell is 9.8% and Walsall is 10.72%
The counters in Birmingham are assembled and ready to go at 9.30am
Counting is underway now in Birmingham and across the rest of the West Midlands.
Anyone hoping for a quick result will be disappointed.
Under supplementary vote, if a candidate doesn't get 50 per cent there's a second round of counting. And that won't be until this afternoon.
