Wolves MX does not have a home track meaning members have to travel around the country in order to race.

Some tracks can be up to two hours away and so the club based in Wolverhampton has asked for help to find some land for it to use.

Scott Harris runs the club with his wife Emma and friend Jason Baker. He established it in 2015 and says that having their own track is vital.

He said: "We need to be able to have our own track. Without your own home track you can't do any teaching.

"It doesn't have to be a fully built one, we aren't looking for a great big piece of land. We would be happy with just a bit of wasteland."

The club has more than 900 members on its Facebook group. Mrs Harris said: "We have people from lots of different trades in the club. Electricians, plumbers, carpenters.

"We would be able to do up a bit of unused land on the side of a motorway somewhere."

Currently members travel to other tracks to compete in races and hold practice days.

They usually head to Kidderminster or Worcester but have in the past made the two hour journey to Doncaster.

As other motocross clubs own these tracks, Wolves MX have to travel around different venues And Mrs Harris said that this costs club members money.

"We just need our own place. We would only have 12 to 14 meetings a year so we wouldn't make much noise," she said.

Mr Harris said that helping children is a big part of the club and he wants to give them the chance to learn how to ride bikes in a safe and legal way.

He said: "The club isn't really a club it's a motocross family. We all help each other."

The club is now appealing to farmers and other landowners to help find them a home.

Mr Harris said: "We have to pay for other tracks anyway so we don't mind giving a bit of money to farmers to cover rent."
