Poundworld has announced it will be opening its first store in Bloxwich later this year.

It will be situated on High Street in the former Store Twenty One unit.

The store is now calling on job seekers to apply for jobs across all levels as it looks to recruit a local workforce ahead of opening.

An opening date has not yet been set.

Chris Bennett, public relations manager at Poundworld, said: "We're excited to be opening our first ever store in Bloxwich, bringing amazing value to local shoppers across many of their favourite brands and helping them to make big savings on their weekly shop.

"However, before we open our doors, we're on the hunt for a passionate, dedicated and hard-working team to join our family."

The 5,200 square foot store forms part of the company's ambitious expansion plan to open 60 new stores this year creating 1,800 jobs in the process.
