Watson, 29, of Orslow Walk, Park Village, used Instagram to brag about his lavish lifestyle before he was jailed for seven years for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Just days after he was handed his sentence Watson was back on Instagram, saying he 'smiled' at the judge who handed him seven years while also promoting an upcoming rap video.

But his posts have landed him in hot water with the Ministry of Justice shutting the account down and saying Watson faces extra time in prison for his 'unacceptable' behaviour.

In a statement a prison service spokesman said: ?"This behaviour is unacceptable. This social media account has been shut down and the offender could face extra time behind bars.

Showing off his wealth

"We are determined to do all we can to prevent prisoners having access to mobile phones and we are stepping up measures to find and block them."

Bringing a mobile phone into prison, as well as transmitting sounds or images from a mobile while in jail, carries a maximum penalty of two years according to justice guidelines.

As revealed by the Express & Star last week, Watson used the social media site Instagram to brag about his lavish lifestyle, which ultimately alerted the police and led to his conviction.

Living the high life?

In one post he is seen posing in a bubble bath full of money, while in another he has surrounded a gold Rolex watch with thousand dollar Jamaican bills bragging he told authorities he only had pennies when actually it was 250,000.

His posts regularly feature supercars, wads of cash, gold watches and premier league footballer Andre Gray.

As well as his Instagram exploits Watson has also posted several rap videos online. In one, entitled Hells Kitchen (Gordon Ramsay), he boasts about being the 'head chef' in his kitchen while images show him mixing a white powder.

Watson was jailed on Friday September 9 for his role in a Midlands drug ring, which saw his fellow Park Village resident Richard Chapman, 22, of Ellerton Walk, get five years and head of the ring, 25-year-old Asmirald Miraka from Margaret Grove, Harborne, 16 years and three months.

This will be Watson's second stint inside, after being convicted of death by dangerous driving a decade ago. Watson, who was 19 at the time, crashed a Fiat Bravo on Finchfield Road in Wolverhampton killing his 18-year-old pal Jermaine Walker.

He had no licence and no insurance and pleaded guilty to death by dangerous, as well as failing to provide a specimen and assaulting a police officer.

West Midlands Police described him as no showing a 'single shred of remorse'.
