The annual Freshers' Welcome Week is organised to help students settle in to college life by giving them the chance to meet staff and fellow learners.

The event on Wednesday was held at the college's Paget Road campus in Wolverhampton.

Andrea Dill-Russell, director of student services at the college, said the event was held to help students find out more about the social side of life at college, and the range of supporters on offer available. She said: "Starting college is a big change for many of our new students and Freshers' Week is a way of welcoming them to the organisation and helping them to find out about the social side of college life, as well as the range of support services and local discounts available to them."

"The last few spaces are still available on courses starting at college this month. To find out more ring 01902 836000."

The college is among the top 15 per cent in England for success rates and is the number one in the West Midlands for learner satisfaction.
