M5 traffic delays after caravan blows over

There are long delays on the M5 northbound after a family caravan crashed into the central reservation and ended up on its side.

The caravan has blocked three lanes of the northbound carriageway between Junction 2 at Oldbury and Junction 1 at West Bromwich.

West Midlands Police confirmed that they received a call to the incident at 12.06pm, and that no other vehicles were involved.

Oldbury fire station, which tweeted this image of the crash, said the 'power of the wind turned this caravan over'.

They added: "A lucky escape for this family!"

No injuries have been reported.

The situation is still ongoing and there are reports of delays of up to an hour from Junction 3 at Halesowen.
