Declan Osborne, 16, suffered life changing injuries after allegedly being knocked off his moped by a car in Rowley Village on January 30.

Danny Thomas Dale, of Habberley Road, Blackheath, appeared before Sandwell magistrates court.

He pleaded not guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, failing to stop after an accident, failing to report an accident, and making a false statement for the purpose of obtaining insurance.

Dale is now due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on September 1, and remains on conditional bail.
