Son accused of trying to murder parents appears in court

A man accused of trying to stab his parents to death in the family home in Wolverhampton has appeared in court.

Marcel Mowbray, from Eastfield Grove, Eastfield, has been deemed fit to stand trial for the attack on Antoinette Alleyne, 57, and 55-year-old Ian Mowbray.

At Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday, Judge Amjad Nawaz set at trial date for January 4.

Mowbray previously pleaded not guilty to attempted murder at the family home at around lunchtime on June 14.

He had been subject of two psychiatric reports, both which said he was fit to stand trial. He was remanded in custody.
