West Mercia Police have confirmed that Rosie Webb, aged 20, of Gorse Road, Wednesfield, will appear at Redditch Magistrates Court on October 21.

The accident happened at around 10pm on Tuesday. The car she was driving had smashed through a fence and had a narrow miss with a train near Wythall Railway Station in Worcestershire.

The dramatic scene saw the car stop about a foot short of the railway track after leaving the road, breaking through a fence and travelling down an embankment.

The train managed to stop short of the vehicle and emergency services said the driver was 'incredibly fortunate' not to have been hurt.

The woman did not require attention from ambulance staff and was discharged at scene.

At the time, a spokesman for train operator London Midland said that the driver of the train had helped to take care of the motorist involved.

The service involved was the 9.26pm from Stratford-upon-Avon to Stourbridge Junction.
