Chris Wassell, a 23-year-old hotel entertainer from Stourbridge, has been into comics since he was about 10 years old so he's been sketching for years. And now he's started on his phone.

He said: "I do these Snapchats is to make my friends smile. I use a lot of Disney characters because they're huge and iconic.

"I was into the classics, Spider-Mman, Wolverine, The Hulk, Batman - and I'd spend hours copying them on paper.

"That progressed through school. I was always hands-on with creative subjects and found a passion for it.

"At college I got into computing and excelled in the creative side of that, particularly web design, photoshop and animation.

"I found Snapchat as a bit of fun to start with, just sending silly selfies and videos around.

"Then I found I could draw on it and just started to doodle.

"It's such basic software so it's challenging to sketch anything complex, particularly when you have to use your fingers.

"Having a decent phone helps and bigger screens allow for a bit more detail.

Chris would love to work in art and design and hopes his expertise on Snapchat will eventually get him there.

He said: "If given the opportunity to get into a design career, I'd jump at it, getting paid for your passion is everyone's dream.

"I've got no idea what the future holds for me. I never saw myself entertaining people in hotels abroad, but that happened."
