Wolverhampton Civic Hall will stage the tournament from November 7-15 after the Professional Darts Corporation confirmed its calendar for next year.

And the event will carry world ranking points for the first time in its history, giving players an extra incentive to do well with performances counting towards the PDC Order or Merit.

This year's Grand Slam of Darts, which has a total prize fund of £450,000, will start at the Civic on November 8 with defending champion Phil 'The Power' Taylor looking to win the title for the sixth time in its eight years.

Taylor won last year's event, beating Scotland's Robert Thornton 16-6 in the final.
